Traci and Tony's Pacific Adventure!

Welcome to our Pacific Adventure! Thanks for taking the time to check out our website. We are Tony and Traci Lemm, and our trip begins and ends in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with stops in Hong Kong, Thailand, Bali, Australia, New Zealand, the Cook Islands, and Fiji. We wanted to create a site to let our friends and family follow our Southeast Asia/Pacific travels. We hope that other people will find our website and be encouraged and inspired to follow their dreams as well. Along the left side of this homepage are buttons for different pages in our website. There is a "who we are" button, giving people a glimpse into our lives, a series of buttons with each of our destinations, a "flightmap" button, which plays a fun, interactive animated movie, and a "links" button, which has a number of entertaining and informative web links. Each of the destination pages has a dated journal that will be updated as much as technology allows. On the destination pages, there is also a button called "Photos" that allows you to bring up the pictures we post during the trip.

We have traveled to a number of places throughout the world, including England, France, Italy, Germany, Israel/Palestine, Thailand, the Caribbean, Mexico and Canada, but these were all fairly short trips. Taking an extended journey has been something we have talked about for a long time, but we never took the plunge…until now. We probably wouldn't have done it this soon either, except that Traci received a grant from the University of Minnesota to work with the Asian Human Rights Commission in Hong Kong. Parlaying that opportunity into a long-term adventure has been both a challenge and the most exciting and scary thing we have ever done in our lives.

For my part, I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel's sake. The great affair is to move; to feel the needs and hitches of our life more nearly, to come down off this feather bed of civilization, and find the globe granite underfoot and strewn with cutting flints.
